Ever wondered what actually happens at a hypnotherapy session?
This session is about information gathering and building that client/therapist relationship so what exactly happens?
1. We fill in a form together to find out more about you and what you hope to get out of our sessions to improve your life.
2. I’ll talk you through the neuroscience behind many of the issues we face and help you understand why you feel as you do and what hypnotherapy can do to help you.
3. THERE IS NO TRANCE in this initial session but what I will do is give you my relaxation MP3 by link so you can listen to it at home straight away.
4. If you like what you hear we will book your next session.

The rest of the sessions will follow this format .
1. I’ll ask you what has been good about your week. This is to get your brain working in the front-left pre-frontal cortex before we start.
2.I’ll ask you to scale yourself 1-10 on how good you’ve felt this past week.
3. I’ll help you visualise how that figure could be improved slightly and what practical step or steps you can take next.
4. Now that your brain is ready I’ll lead you though a lovely, relaxing trance. This is just a deep state of relaxation lasting about 20 minutes which will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.
After the initial consultation that depends on the individual and their reason for coming. Smoking cessation for example is usually one 90 minute session. Phobias usually 3 X 60 minutes. Anxiety related conditions usually 8-12 60 minute sessions.
YOU will be the one who decides when our work together is finished.
It is best to try to keep the sessions roughly every week but again we can be flexible on this.
